Note to the Tuesday Advanced and the Thursday Ladies Divisions: Your Statistics and Schedules have not disappeared. Just click on the 'Session' down arrow and select 'Fall 2009 - Winter 2010' to view them.

Advanced Division - Fall/Winter Session - BC Playoffs

The Tuesday A Advanced Division has special Playoffs for Team Trips to the 5th Annual CCS British Columbia 8Ball Championships being held in Penticton BC from Feb 10 to 14th at the beautiful Lakeside Resort Hotel & Casino.

The Team Trip prizes consist of a paid Team Entry Fee and $500.

The 2 AA ranked teams (Team Spain OLA! and Team Canada Eh!) will play off for 1 Trip on a night of their choosing. The tourney format will be a best of 3 (Race to 13) matches.

The other 5 A ranked teams will play off for 3 Trips with an added $500 bonus to the overall winner. All matches will be played on 2 tables at the Hideout.

The tourney format for the A ranked teams will be as follows:

1. Round Robin on Total Games Won.
2. Rounds 1-3 to be played on Saturday Jan. 17 from Noon to 6PM.
3. Rounds 4-5 to be played on Sunday Jan. 18 from Noon to 4PM.
4. The Final Round to determine the Trip Winners will be played immediately after from 4PM to 6PM.
5. Based on the final Round Robin Standings:
4th plays 3rd for the 3rd Trip.
2nd plays 1st for the bonus $500. Both will receive a Trip.

At the CCS BC's, team play is on the last 2 days (Sat/Sun). All teams are eligible to enter regardless of whether they win a Team Trip or not. There is no original team member rule at CCS tournies, so teams can mix and match players any way they want. All you need to be eligible is 5 full matches before Jan 30, 2010.

For those interested in playing Singles (8Ball and 9Ball) or Scotch Doubles, online entry is available at the CCS website www.cdnqsport.com.

Intermix Divisions - Winter Session - Team Sign Ups

The Players 8Ball League is now accepting team sign-ups for the Winter Session which starts the week of January 4th. See below for more info.

Teams playing in the Fall Session will be contacted and given given first dibs on the night of play and their home bar.

All matches are 25 Games on Points with Handicaps. In the I1 Top Group, no Mon/Tues/Wed Intermix Travelling team will give up a handicap to any Wed Intermix Hideout team.

Although the tables are open at the Hideout, there are Table Fees of $12.50 per team per match.

All Prize Fund payouts will be by cheque at the Playoffs.

VEGAS GUARANTEED
Advanced and Ladies Division
Higher Fees / Longer Session

Teams pay a higher Weekly Fee of $20 to $25 (including table fees) and play a 26 to 30 week schedule.

All teams are dual sanctioned (ACS/VNEA) and every Team receives a Vegas TEAM ENTRY and a guaranteed minimum ROOM ALLOWANCE and TRAVEL ALLOWANCE which you can increase in the Playoffs at the end of the Schedule. Last year, the minimum was $1400 to each team.

Teams also have the option of using it to attend any CCS Championship in Canada - BC's (February), Canadians (April) or Westerns (May).

The Prize Fund Payout Schedules for last year showing all the monies in and out are posted under 'Play - League Messages'.

These Divisions play a single combined Fall/Winter Session that starts the week of Sept. 14th.

VEGAS IF YOU WANT
INTERMIX DIVISION
Lower Fees / Shorter Sessions

Teams pay a lower Weekly Fee of $13 (excluding table fees) and play a shorter schedule of 12 weeks.

All teams are CCS sanctioned and have the opportunity to win paid TEAM ENTRIES to a tourney of their choosing and CASH PRIZES in League Play and Playoffs.

All teams are eligible to use their Team Entry and Cash Winnings for any CCS Championship in Canada or ACS Vegas.

For the Playoffs at the end of each Session, Teams will be split into two or more separate Groups with equal Prize Funds, based on team skill level.

There will be 3 Sessions of 12 weeks each. Play the Session(s) that work for you:

Fall - Sept. 14th to Nov 30th. Winter - Jan. 4th to March 22nd. Spring - May 10th to July 26th.

RUNOUT DOUGH - $10 Every Week

All players who achieve the following in a Match will receive $10 that night (just deduct it from the Match Fees):

AA / A Ranked - 3 Runouts
B / C Ranked - 2 Runouts

The Player Rankings have been updated for 2009-10 based on player stats from 2008-09.

AWARDS BANQUET

Since 1992, the PPL has always had a wrap up Banquet at the end of the season.

Like last year, it'll be at the Comedy Cave where the food is good and the Comics always put on a great show.
